Collection: Sarah Soward

Sarah Soward (pronounced SOH-wurd) is a wildlife artist with a twist—bold color choices, non-standard poses, storytelling, and Surrealism. Much of her focus is on endangered animals, but she's up for anything wild! She strives to make art that is uniquely her own. Her paintings are based almost entirely on her own photographs from her travels and her imagination. With camera in hand, she photographs animals of all sorts for her work wherever she is.

Sarah holds a BFA from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. She spent many happy years living in the city and traveling.
Selected highlights of her career include: Luna will go to the Moon as part of the curated Lunar Codex in 2024; acquisition of a painting by the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs; multi-year Finalist in the Wildlife Artist of the Year exhibition at the Mall Gallery in London (2013 - present); Sky Creature featured in the Londonist and BBC Wildlife Magazine; two of her rhino paintings traveled with the Artist4Rhinoexhibition in Italy, one exhibited at the Museo Civico de Storia Naturale di Genova.
Purchasing a piece of Sarah’s artwork spreads the message of respect and love of animals in an imaginative way while also brightening your home and heart. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Sarah's artwork is donated to the International Rhino Foundation.
